This spring the city of Krk will once again become the centre of authentic island culinary experiences! For the latest iteration of the Travel to Taste Krk gastro campaign, our caterers have prepared special menus with dishes rooted in homegrown ingredients, local know-how and the storied tradition of the island and city of Krk.
This initiative is growing in importance as we approach 2026, when Kvarner will proudly boast the title of European Region of Gastronomy. This is a testament to the quality, authenticity and sustainability of our gastro offering, and the Travel to Taste Krk project is the perfect fit for the promotion of Kvarner’s eno-gastro identity by showcasing local products, expertise and heritage.

During the spring and summer months, from 1 May to late June, twelve catering establishments in the city of Krk will enable you to relish the carefully curated menus that merge tradition with modern culinary methods.
Travel to Taste Krk 2025 once again positions Krk at the forefront of island gastronomy, inviting you to discover the flavours that are emblematic of our region and identity, bringing together select restaurants, taverns and tasting rooms, which have prepared special promotional menus inspired by authentic recipes and seasonal foods. Each meal tells a story about the island – from Krk lamb and “šurlice” pasta to Krk prosciutto, island cheeses, olive oil and a glass of Vrbnik Žlahtina wine.
