Storytelling Walk - Golden Drops of Krk’s Treasure blaga (Friday, May 2, 2025)
Step into stories of olives, sheep farming, and island traditions.
On Friday, May 2nd, join us for a walk that awakens all the senses and leads into the heart of the untouched nature of the Golden Island. You will partly follow the well-known Camino trail before stepping onto the Paths of the Golden Drops of Krk’s Treasure – Eastern Route, where you will wander among century-old olive groves and dry stone walls. Through stories of the people who lovingly tend the land of their ancestors, you will feel why Krk is called the Golden Island.
Starting from the town of Krk, you will walk through the fragrant landscapes of olive groves leading to the village of Kornić, where you will learn more about the cultivation and significance of this noble plant. Next, you will visit Ethno House Kornić, exploring an ethnographic collection that preserves memories of the islanders' everyday life through the centuries. At the end of the route, in the village of Lakmartin, you will visit Magriž Cheese Dairy, enjoying a tasting of 5 types of premium island cheeses, prosciutto, cottage cheese spreads, olives, and homemade dried figs.
Route: Krk – Kornić – Muraj – Lakmartin – Krk
Meeting point: at the Sundial (9:00–9:30 AM)
Departure: Krk town pier, 9:30 AM
Distance: 14 km
Difficulty: Technically easy, moderately demanding in terms of endurance
Duration: 4-hour walk + 1-hour of tasting at Magriž Cheese Dairy for a special price of €7 per person (paid on-site)

Free bike tour: Discover the history and nature of the island (Saturday, 3.5.2025.)
The Local Bike Sightseeing Tour takes you from the center of Krk to the east of the island, through the forested Prniba peninsula and further through landscapes rich in cultivated fields, fragrant meadows and historical sites such as the Salatići castle. The route is easy and suitable for recreational cyclists of all ages, and with professional guidance and a good team, the ride becomes a real pleasure. By cycling, you will connect nature, heritage and recreation in one experience.
The tour is organized by the Tourist Board of the City of Krk and Infinity sport – Bike center Krk, and the number of participants is limited.
Route: Krk - Prniba - Kornić - Muraj - Ponikve - Kaštel - Salatić - Krk
Meeting point: at the Sun Clock (between 8:30 and 9:00 AM)
Start: Krk waterfront, 9:00 AM
Distance: 23 km
Elevation gain: 380 m
Duration: up to 2 hours of easy cycling

A technically functional mountain bike is required
Helmets are mandatory
Children under 18 may participate only with a signed parental/guardian consent form
