From August 8 to 10, visit the fair of traditional products, handicrafts, and souvenirs, discover medieval Krk, take part in workshops, and enjoy a rich musical program for all generations.

The Krk Fair – Lovrečeva, one of the oldest and most recognizable events in the Kvarner region, once again transforms the town of Krk into a unique stage of tradition, culture, history, and entertainment. Organized by the City of Krk Tourist Board and the Town of Krk, the event attracts numerous visitors every year who wish to experience a blend of history, local customs, and the vibrant summer atmosphere.

Today, Lovrečeva connects the rich historical heritage of the town of Krk with its contemporary life. Its roots date back to the Middle Ages, and the fair, whose organization was reaffirmed in 1524 on the occasion of the Feast of St. Lawrence, has grown over the centuries into one of the most recognizable events on the island of Krk.
During these three days, the historic town center becomes a large open-air stage. Streets and squares are filled with exhibitors of traditional products and handicrafts, demonstrations of old crafts, music, and activities that bring the rich history of Krk to life. Visitors can also enjoy a diverse gastronomic offer at various locations, from fair stands to numerous restaurants and cafés throughout Krk, which will further enrich the festival experience with their specialties.

A special atmosphere is created by events inspired by the rich medieval past of the town. The festival opening will be marked by a grand medieval procession of the Princes of Krk from the Frankopan family, featuring numerous historical associations. Throughout the event, visitors will also be able to enjoy a walk through the town of the Frankopan Princes of Krk.
The program includes demonstrations of medieval life organized by the Kaštel Historical Association, such as exhibitions of knightly equipment, displays of knightly skills, archery and other historical competitions, knightly tournaments, and spectacular evening fire shows.
The program is further enriched by honey-extraction demonstrations and presentations of traditional crafts, creative workshops inspired by the Glagolitic script, local traditions, and natural materials, as well as the Glagolitic Scriptorium, where visitors can learn about the rich Glagolitic heritage of the island of Krk. Guided interpretive walks through the town will reveal its history and heritage through engaging stories.

The evening hours along the Krk waterfront will bring a music program that is once again expected to attract large crowds. Lovrečeva will open with a performance by the popular band Magazin, followed by Dellboys. Saturday evening is reserved for Groovers and the traditional disco party with DJ Luca Montecchi, while the final evening will feature Prljavo Kazalište, one of the most renowned names in Croatian music, followed by Infinity Band Croatia, which will keep the festive atmosphere alive.
In addition to the main events on the waterfront, music will resonate throughout the town squares during the festival through performances by folklore and cultural associations, klapa groups, and the Krk Town Band, creating the distinctive atmosphere that makes Lovrečeva special year after year.

From medieval scenes and island traditions to music, social gatherings, and the lively summer buzz in the streets, Lovrečeva once again offers a unique experience that has brought together the residents and visitors of Krk for centuries.
