The 29th Krk Sails will take place from 13 to 23 August 2026, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Plav Sailing Club, the oldest sailing club on the Adriatic. Since its launch in 1998, the event has become one of the City of Krk's signature summer festivals, bringing together sailing enthusiasts, local residents and visitors to celebrate the island's rich maritime heritage. The programme includes the 29th Krk Sails Traditional Boat Regatta, the Veterans' Optimist Regatta, the Krk Sails 2026 OPEN Regatta for cruising yachts, as well as exhibitions, workshops, lectures and concerts inspired by the sea and traditional maritime culture.

Organised by the City of Krk Tourist Board and the Plav Sailing Club, the event is supported by the City of Krk, the Kvarner Tourist Board, the Krk Shipyard, and continues the legacy of the Arca Adriatica project, dedicated to preserving and promoting the Adriatic's maritime heritage.

Highlights include the spectacular Night Dance of Traditional Boats, educational activities at the Interpretation Centre of the Maritime Heritage of the Island of Krk, and a diverse cultural programme celebrating the traditions that continue to shape life in the City of Krk today.
